Cooking from Scratch
Cooking from scratch may seam scary at first, but once you get the hang of it you will gain confidence in your ability and your cooking journey will be well on it's way.

Start with simple recipes and basic techniques, try learning one or two dishes at a time before moving on to more complex meals. Practice consistently, and don't be afraid to experiment as you gain more experience. Begin with easy recipes that have few ingredients, like cooking pasta or basic meat, to build confidence. Making a single component, like a sauce, to add to an existing meal is also a great first step. Master basic techniques. Focus on learning fundamental methods like sautéing, boiling, roasting, and steaming, as this knowledge is transferable to many different recipes. Read recipes carefully. Always read the entire recipe before you begin to ensure you have all the ingredients and understand the steps.
Invest in basic tools: A few sharp knives are essential. A chef's knife, paring knife, and serrated knife are a good start. Lastly, don't be afraid to fail. It's okay if a dish doesn't turn out perfectly the first time. You can always start over, and every attempt is a learning opportunity.
