Solar Cooking

You can cook everything under the sun.

Where I live, here in the southwestern part of the USA, we have over 300 days a year that is sunny. Cooking with the sun is a great resource.  No fuel needed.  Just the sun and a reflective surface.

How do solar cookers work?

Solar cookers work by harnessing sunlight to generate heat for cooking food. They typically use reflective materials concentrate sunlight onto a cooking pot, which absorbs the heat and cooks the food inside. By utilizing renewable solar energy, solar cookers do not need fuel of any kind.  No wood, propane or briquets.  All you need is the sun.  I have actually cooked in my Sun Oven on a cloudy day, it just takes longer.
