Simple Desserts

Cooking from scratch is so much better when you begin adding desserts to your menu.

Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fruit

  • ½ cup oats

  • ½ cup flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup butter

Instructions:

  1. Put fruit in dish.

  2. Mix topping and sprinkle over.

  3. Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plant-based butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp corn starch

  • 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 

  • 1 cup chocolate chip

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease your baking sheet.

  • Mix the butter and sugars together.

  • Beat in the egg until totally combined. Add the vanilla. Mix in the baking soda, salt, and corn starch.

  • Add the flour and mix well.

  • Add the chocolate chips. 

  • Scoop dough balls 2 Tbsp in size and place on your prepared baking sheet. 

  • Bake cookies at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until just slightly browned at the edges. 

  • Allow the cookies to cool for 1-2 minutes on the baking sheet before carefully removing to a cooling rack. 

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
