Soup and Broth

Making soup and bone broth are simpler than you might expect.  Jump in and try making some nutritious soup.

Chicken Broth

Ingredients:

  • chicken bones

  • 8 cups water

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 onion (optional)

  • Any other spices you like

Instructions:

  1. Simmer everything 4-12 hours.

  2. Strain.

  3. Use now or cool and put in the fridge.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded chicken (cooked)

  • 4 cups broth

  • 2 cups noodles

  • 1 cup chopped celery

  • 1 cup chopped carrots

  • Salt + pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place broth, noodles, carrots and seasonings in a large pot. 

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Add celery and chicken.

  4. Simmer broth + noodles for 5 minutes or until the noodles are tender.

  5. Serve hot.
