Quick Beef Tacos
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)

1 small onion, diced (optional)

1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade – chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt)

2/3 cup water
-
8 small taco shells (soft or hard)
-
Toppings (choose your favorites):

Shredded lettuce
-
Diced tomatoes
-
Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
-
Sour cream
-
Salsa or taco sauce
-
Sliced jalapeños
-
Avocado or guacamole

Instructions:

Cook the meat:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned (5–7 minutes). Drain excess grease. -
Season it:
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens. -
Warm the shells:
Heat taco shells according to package directions (usually 1–2 minutes in the oven or 20 seconds in the microwave). -
Assemble: Spoon the seasoned meat into taco shells. Add your favorite toppings.
